Canvas Rug
Binding
Choosing
the right rug binding color
Import Flooring
customers can choose from a full spectrum of rug binding colors and styles. Our
all-cotton binding comes in 14 popular decorator colors.
How do you choose a
color that will frame your area rug the best? If you want your floor covering to
harmonize with the floor, designers suggest that you choose a color that blends
with your rug's natural fiber colors.
To create an accent
color from your area rug binding, select the least used colors in your room. If
you already have an accent color, matching your rug binding to that color will
anchor your room and give it a true designer look.
As a rule, lighter colors give the illusion of space, while dark colors create a
cozy, intimate setting.
Rug Binding Styles
When it comes to rug binding, you'll find two different corner styles:
Standard corners:
Finished one side over the other, this is what gives our
Aspen mountain grass area rug its fresh contemporary look.
Mitered corners:
This style resembles a picture frame, with the corners joined together at 45
degree angles.
Our rug bindings also come in different widths, ranging from 1 1/4 inches to 3"
borders. Wide bindings in dark colors can really energize a room.
Import Flooring offers a wide range of binding choices. And with 14 border
colors to choose from you can even create a
custom look for that extra special space.
